Bad Weather

Strong gusts and spitting mists today. We walked for a few hours and then retired to our tent where I spent the evening absorbed in Wuthering Heights while Chris napped. I thought the novel would be appropriate for this landscape, but neither recalls the other, and I have to struggle to imagine Catherine and Heathcliff roaming here. Perhaps Thomas Hardy would have been more appropriate. I intend on trying him next.

It's uncomfortable weather

This is when we discovered that snow pants aren't waterproof

Doesn't this look a little heath-like?
