We've discovered that Oaxaca has a film fest, for which most of the venues are gratis, so here we are in the empty library courtyard, an hour before the movies are to begin, like overeager puppies. Chris is more excited than I've seen him since we left Mexico City with its delicious, cheap churros, huaraches, and pastor tortas. He's been talking about getting a Golden Access pass, which, unaccountably, is only 100 pesos (less than 10 USD). I think he just wants the status since all the movies that would be paid are in venues too far away anyway. Must be some spillover from Sundance excitement.
